People who are poor are mainly inconspicuous. Caring for one another is often the first step towards helping one another. Does your elderly neighbour who lives alone need help with shopping, climbing the stairs or cooking? Is the single mother in your building looking for a babysitter? Have you ever thought about organising a party to get to know all your neighbours?

The EPP Group in the Committee of the Regions and the European People's Party have joined forces once again for a 60 second film competition. This year, the topic is poverty... Ten years ago, EU leaders pledged to 'make a decisive impact on the eradication of poverty' by 2010. However, nearly 80 million people or 16% of the EU population are still living below the poverty line and facing serious obstacles in accessing employment, education, housing, social and financial services, in particular in urban areas.
