In Stuttgart. Caritas is giving homeless people a chance to express themselves and combat stereotypes by turning ordinary bottles into art. Some are wrapped in colourful cloth, some laminated with gold foil, others finely painted - all challenge the clichés that homeless people are confronted with all the time. The drunk, the loser, the vagrant - these are prejudices that this project aims to overcome.
The project also demonstrates the broad approach Caritas takes to dealing with homelessness. Tackling the problem is not just about providing a hot meal a day, it is also about empowering people to take control of their lives and draw on their full range of talents.
